Shoefiti Strikes Abilene, Texas

A local news station in Abilene, TX, takes a look at the local shoefiti scene, and finds many theories on why there are shoes popping up on powerlines around town:

Abilene resident, Doug Nassar says that he believes hanging shoes symbolize gang activity in the area, and even more specifically represents when someone has been killed.

Kenneth Patterson says it’s a territorial warning, that the area belongs to some gang.

But others like Anthony Sanchez say it’s a game that Abilene skaters created a few months ago.
