Does Shoefiti Build Urban Hipster Credibility for Neighborhoods?
And if so, is that a good thing?
Jamie of The Known Universe describes being on a “hipster photo shoot” that had all the right elements to qualify:
Hipster Photo Shoot | the known universe
“That is like the ultimate hipster scene right there,” I said. “You’ve got the band, the artsy photographer, the skateboard, the banana bike, the tattoos, a graffiti-strewn backdrop, a pair of shoes dangling from the powerlines…everything. Classic.”
I wouldn’t expect property values to be particularly high in an area strewn with graffiti and shoefiti.

Just to clarify: I wasn’t on that hipster photoshoot, I was just watching it from my window. And as far as property values go, this is New York City. Property values are high no matter how many shoes there are.
