Marina Kapow reflects on being inspired by shoes dangling from power lines on her LiveJournal blog:
it was raining afterwards, too and i didnt stand under cover while we waited for a cab. i loved everything, i loved driving through fitzroy. i loved the dirty streets and the store fronts and the traffic lights. i saw shoes dangling over power lines. i saw a woman in a fire-engine red coat among all the greyness and it made me well up inside.
