Shoefiti Strikes Raleigh
A writes from Raleigh recalled a recent night on the town at 2:30am:
It was 2:30 am… - Pseudotect’s blog
As I turned the corner onto Flint, my headlights revealed what appeared to be a block party. The street was completely saturated with youth, drunk youth, high youth, tripping youth. I also realized that there was a huge street soccer match going on. 3 am, soccer, booze, the like, etc. You decide.
I parked the car in a flash and practically ran towards the house. Slightly dilapidated with about 100 shoes hanging from the powerlines in front, it shines like a gloomy, punk sentinel. The steps, yards and sidewalks of the entire street were packed and the match was in full swing. I mingled for a moment, said hello to some friends, some thugs, young socialists, and artsy types and then could take it no longer. Soccer, my passion.
