Shoes and Shoes on Wires. Coincidental?
The Comb in the Urinal and Other Perplexities of Life, by Thomas J. Neviaser, raises questions about shoes on power lines on Page 91:
As we stopped at a stop sign, I noticed a pair of paten leather shoes tied securely together hanging from a telephone or electrical wire crossing the street. I mentioned the unusual sight to my son in passing. Oddly enough, when we stopped at the very next stop sign, I saw a pair fo tennis shoes hanging over another wire stretched across the street. Was this a coincidence or was there a story behind these two hanging phenomena?
You’d think someone writing a book called The Comb in the Urinal could get to the bottom of this.
