Trigger Magazine interviewed the folks behind When Dogs Fly, a group that creates custom shoes to throw over power lines. Example of When Dogs Fly’s Shoes You may be wondering, “Those don’t look like normal shoes.” Correct. Here’s the explanation: No pair is typical. The manufacturing of hand crafted wooden dogs is a selective process. [...]

More shoes Spotted in Australia
A forum in Australia is busy generating theories on what shoes on power lines mean. Connections with drug sales and the result of robberies have been floated once again. Shoes Hanging over Syringes in Los Angeles
I haven’t spotted any syringes underneath shoes in Minneapolis yet, but I think it’s just a matter of time. kid_genious08 (not to be confused with the original or 1-7 ) has put in a request for a shoefiti icon for her LiveJournal profile. With a motto of “Take Life One Step at a Time” do the shoes from a powerline signify one swinging step?

Shoes in Trees in Rhode Island
Shoes in trees seems to be a distant cousin of shoefiti. The motivation seems to generally have something to do with celebrating a graduation from college. Or, at least that’s where I’ve heard of shoe trees appearing. Here’s a painful way to discover a shoe tree coming from a Brown University student blogging as head_cheese: [...]

More Shoes Hanging at Bossen Terrace
I first reported on September 16th about the shoes hanging from the powerlines at Bossen Terrace in the Wenonah Neighborhood of Minneapolis and the challenges that housing development faces. Unfortunately, the shoes that were hanging there last month are still there, and another pair has joined them on the wire in the alley. The community [...]
