Is shoefiti with kids’ shoes the result of bullying?
Is shoefiti using kids’ shoes the result of a bullying incident where the shoes were stolen right off a child’s feet, tied together, then tossed over a power line? A blogger by the name of handmer has proposed this theory:
So yeah the other day I am driving
down the road and I see shoes on the power lines, and I laugh to
myself, but then when i see shoes chucked over the next set of lines
too I have to give a cheer! I have seen it once before too, I think
one person see’s shoes up on the lines and decided, hmmm, that looks
like fun, I will chuck mine up too! do these people then walk home
barefoot? or do they bring the shoes along specially to throw up?
Its
weird, some of those shoes I see seem pretty nice, and they are mostly
kids shoes, so I figure at least some of them must be pulled off some
poor kid and chucked up by other kids. hehe
I rarely see anyone walking barefoot through the shoefiti infested alleys of Minneapolis, so I doubt the perpetrators are using their own (or at least current ) shoes for shoefiti purposes.
What do you think? Is shoefiti a bullying tactic where you live?
