Shoefiti Strikes New Zealand

A woman in New Zealand has discovered shoefiti in her “rural countryside town” and has heard second hand that it signals a nearby tinny house (explained below):

What is happening to our lovely little rural countryside town we live
in? Have you ever driven along the road and seen a pair of shoes
hanging off the powerlines? I did a few months ago and until Dh
explained to me what it meant I was none the wiser. He goes out with
his police buddies regularly and according to them it means that there
is a tinny house nearby. WhatÕs a tinny house you ask? In simple words
itÕs a drug house.

Maybe the tactic spread from Australia? Where are all the shoefiti epidemiologists hiding at a time like this?
